FREE Popsicle Crochet Garland

It is here! Your adorable, summertime crochet garland! Introducing....THE POPSICLE CROCHET GARLAND!!! :-D Ta da!

Popsicles are a classic Summer treat! So cool, colorful, and sweet! ;-) Why not crochet some adorable Popsicles to hang in your home to celebrate Summer?

This pattern is 11 pages long and has 28 pictures (plus finished product pictures) to help you create your one of a kind garland.

The pattern even shows you how to do a Back Post Single Crochet stitch and a Front Post Single Crochet stitch. :-)

The Back Post Singe Crochet and Front Post Single Crochet create a raised bump to make the Popsicle look like the kind that could rip apart to make 2 Popsicles. So cute!

To make the garland you will need:
3.75 mm hook
6.50 mm hook
Red Heart Super Saver yarn (I used 7 different colors)
7 mm safety eyes
Black embroidery floss
Yarn needle
Stuffing
Scissors
And, of course, the Popsicle Pattern!

Have fun creating your cute Popsicle garland!

Back to School Garland is Here!

I know no one really wants to think of going back to school but this garland will make going back a little easier with these cute little faces cheering you on. :-)

The pattern for this garland includes a book, ruler, glue bottle, pencil, crayon box, notebook paper, and an apple. Each design has a cute little face that is just adorable! :-)

The pattern is 27 pages long and includes 78 pictures to help you make you own amazing Back to School Garland.

When designing this garland, I was trying to stick to classic, elementary school supplies. Back to the good ol' days... ;-)

One cool thing is, the book can be customized to be any school subject (or any book) you would want it to be. Change Math to Calculus. Science to Biology. Add in Harry Potter or Matilda. Let your imagination fly!

The Back to School Pattern is available in my Etsy Shop and Ravely Shop for $8.00.

Fourth of July Pattern Is Here!!!

Who's excited about Independence Day? Getting dressed up in red, white and blue, the swimming, the hamburgers, the fireworks.... So much fun! The Fourth of July is a great time to relax and have some summer fun.

To add to my Holiday Garland collection, I made a Fourth of July themed Garland to hang up. I loved how it turned out! It is very American (meaning a red, white, and blue color explosion). ;-)

The Fourth of July Garland has 4 crochet ornaments. There is a star, firework, American Flag, and an Uncle Sam.

All of the ornaments have little, tiny faces on them which always makes me smile and giggle. I'm serious, this happens to me every time. Haha!

The pattern has 22 pages and 54 pictures to help you along the way.

I think Uncle Sam is my favorite. I think.... they are all too cute!

Uncle Sam looks like a baby dressing up as an old man. It is just too funny!

And his hat. It is so big and adorable (and hilarious).

The little stars are also cuties. ;-) Plus they are easy to crochet and put together.

The American flag and firework are fun to make, too. At first I didn't know how to do a firework but then, my dad mentioned doing an un-popped firework/rocket. I tried it out and *boom* the firework was born!

The Pattern is available in my Etsy and Ravelry Store for $6.00.

Summer Fun Garland Pattern is Here!!!

Finally, I have completed the Summer Fun Garland Pattern. :-D Whoo!

I think I got a little carried away with this one. Originally, I was only going to do 5 or 6 ornaments but somehow.... I ended up with 10. Hehe! They are just so cute and easy to work up! I couldn't help myself! Maybe I need to go to Crocheters Anonymous. "Hello. I'm Miranda and I have a crochet problem..."

Anyway.... after testing the pattern again, typing it out, taking in progress photos, uploading the photos, and setting it all in order, I'm proud to say it is done and ready to be purchased.

The pattern is available in my Etsy shop and Ravelry shop for $10.00.

I hope you enjoy and it inspired you to go out and have some Summer Fun!

After I made the garland and the pattern, I forgot 2 of the most important summertime staples!

ICE CREAM AND POPSICLES!!!! *face palm*

How in the world did I forget them?!? :-(

SO, I might be doing a garland with just popsicles and ice cream. I got some ideas that I'm excited to put to yarn. :-)

Arthur Doll

One of my favorite TV shows as a kid to watch  (and, let's be honest,  still watch) is Arthur. I love the small town and how interesting things happen to regular kids. Its is funny, smart, and just entertaining! Since I love the show, what not make an Arthur doll?
The front
So I got to work.

The back
His head and body are all one piece. His arms, legs, ears and collar are sewn on.

His face

I also added little pink spots to his ears. So cute!

The outfit

His face was a little hard to do. I had to redo his glasses because I sewed them on crooked. :/ Whoops! The lesson is to pin in place before you sew. But now they are on better.

Sweater close up

Overall, I love how he turned out. Now I want to make more Arthur characters. Arthur needs some friends. ;-)

"Let's go to the library!"

Thanks for looking!

"Where is the tree house?"

"Wow! It's a lot bigger!"

"Let's look at the clouds!"

Chillin'

What I've Done This Week (Week 2/4-2/10)

I decided to start and new series (sort of) of what I've been doing all week. Well, not EVERYTHING I do, just creative things. Like sewing, knitting, crocheting, needle felting, photography, dolly doings... that type of stuff. Hopefully this will help me see how much I do in a week, plus it will be fun to look at this in the future. :-) Anyway, this is what I did.

I made Rapunzel a coat,
Look at her all coat-y!
had a Rapunzel photo shoot (here is a sneak peak of the pictures),

I took pictures and posted the pattern of the Disney animator scarf,

Had a photo shoot and worked on a new sewing pattern (coming soon!)

"Aurora? Wake up!"

I finished the headscarf for the Disney Animator dolls (pattern to come soon!), plus I learned the purl stitch (!!!),

And.... I crocheted an Arthur (and had a photo shoot)! :-D I love how he turned out! I'll do a real post on him soon. :-)

And that was my week. ;-)
